i can't say i've ever been a huge depeche mode fan, but i certainly remember then as a constant back in the 80s, and was very pleased to attend their free concert a few months back on hollywood & vine. since then i've became very nostalgic, and was delighted when my good friend, vitaly koshman invited me to see them @ the hollywood bowl last night. what a treat!
the presentation was spot on... these guys are tight. i was drawn into their performance as almost an antisocial kinda event. i mean that in a good way. you get really into your own head-space experiencing depeche mode. and with no drugs! i guess that's why all the 20sometwinks like them so much. they can twitter and text the entire time, still enjoy the performance and not miss a beat. i had a great time. my only complaint... this strange love video by anton corbijn . it's good, but you can guarantee if i would've directed this, it would've been with two guys!
