PROP 8 OVERTURNED ARTICLE FROM LAST YEAR GOES VIRAL

this morning i noticed a facebook posting from a girl named "marie" in atlanta-
PROP 8 OVERTURNED- GAY MARRIAGE IS LEAGAL IN CA.
i became very excited and scrambled to post asap. once i  posted i notice that they referred to "gov Schwarzenegger" and all the comments were 1 year old.. then i fully read the article and realized it was over a year old!.. i contacted "marie" and told her this info and to please remove. within that brief 5 mins, "marie's" posted had been reposted 50 times and counting!
"marie" was a stubborn anna, (and not that bright)  i could not convince her the article was outdated... we went back & forth for another 15 minutes until i finally sent her the the dates of the article line for line.
finally i convinced her to remove. once she did, she was pissed off because she lost the entire thread.
"marie" then began posting that i had "bullied" her!
since then there have been so many repostings the article has become viral.
well  " marie" look what has happened.  congrads..
you are the patient zero of this false prop 8 article-

Come on, guys -- this is how rumors get started!
Huffington Post article from August 2010 (and updated in May 2011) was littered all over Facebook, Twitter, Tumblr and the rest of the Internet this morning. "Prop 8 OVERTURNED: Gay Marriage Ban Struck Down In California," reads the headline. Nope.Hard to say who was the instigating drunkard to first stumble across the piece and blast its (very dated) information to his/her entire social network, but since then, the piece has racked up thousands more shares. It currently holds HuffPost's No. 1 slot in "Hot on Facebook."
